Are gold bars IRA-eligible?
Yes, provided they meet the IRS minimum purity standard of 99.5% and come from an approved refiner. We will only offer IRA-eligible products in your Gold IRA.
How is authenticity verified?
Bars include serial numbers and assay certificates from the refiner. We source only through trusted distribution channels to ensure authenticity.
Can I take delivery?
For non-IRA purchases, yes. Bars ship insured to your chosen address. IRA-held bars must remain at an approved depository until distribution.
What does storage cost?
Retired.com charges annually for storage. For non-segregated metals the fee is $150 annually. We charge $240 annually if you want to upgrade to segregated storage.
Can I sell back gold bars?
Yes. Retired.com offers buyback at competitive market rates. Proceeds are returned via your funding method or remain inside your IRA.
