★★★★★
The Choice App is becoming Retired.com
Choice was built on a simple idea: Bitcoin belongs in a retirement account.
Your account comes with you
On October 1, your Choice IRA moves to Retired.com automatically. Your holdings and your full transaction history transfer with your account.
One simpler fee schedule
The old Choice pricing is replaced by one flat $50 monthly fee plus 1% per trade. Simpler to read, and lower for many accounts.
New ways to grow
Staking, automatic rebalancing, Build-Your-Own bundles and access to over 100 coins arrive on day one, all inside your tax-advantaged retirement account.
A new, simple fee schedule
Effective October 1, one all-inclusive fee replaces the stacked fees on your old Choice statement.
$50/mo
Inclusive account fee
Covers custody, security, platform access, and IRA specialist support.
1% Fee
Per trade
A flat 1% applied when you buy or sell assets. No sliding scales.
$0
Deposits & transfers
No additional cost to fund your account — deposits, transfers, and rollovers are free.
More for your retirement account, day one
Everything you did on the Choice app, plus new capabilities and features.
Stocks in your IRA
For the first time, Choice clients can hold and trade stocks alongside your crypto, inside the same retirement account.
Crypto Staking
Earn passive rewards on supported crypto, including Bitcoin, inside your tax-advantaged IRA.
Crypto swap
Trade one crypto directly for another in a single transaction. No more selling to dollars first, then rebuying.
Bundles and rebalancing
Diversified crypto exposure in a single position. Pick a pre-built theme or build your own. Set a cadence to automatically rebalance.
Stop-loss orders
Set a trigger price and a limit price for automated protection trades, conditional limit orders built for active risk management.
Watch list & search
Save and monitor assets without trading. Search across all crypto and stocks with filters for gainers, losers, and staking-eligible.
What stays exactly the same
Your buy and sell flows, ACH deposits, rollovers and transfers, tax-year selection, document center, price alerts, Hold-Your-Own-Keys holdings, and live chat support all work the way you’re used to. Your past transactions move with you into your account ledger.
Getting Started
A few quick steps at your first login
On or after October 1, here’s what to expect the first time you open Retired.com.
1
Update or download the app
On iPhone, update your existing app. On Android, download the new Retired.com app from the Play Store. You can also use app.retired.com in your browser.
2
Log in with your existing Choice login
Your Choice email and password carry over. If you’ve ever logged in to Choice, there’s nothing to reset — a welcome message will confirm you’re a migrated Choice client.
3
Set up two-factor authentication
All clients start on SMS-based two-factor authentication. If you used an authenticator app on Choice, you can re-enable it after your first login.

Full transparency
A few things to know before October 1
Performance charts & cost basis
Your full transaction history is being imported. Performance charts and cost-basis figures will appear within a short window after migration. Your balances and holdings are visible from day one.
Recurring & scheduled orders
Automatic recurring orders aren’t available at launch. If you have active recurring orders, we’ll contact you directly beforehand. This capability is on the roadmap.
Blinko is retiring
The Blinko rewards program is being retired before migration. Any Bitcoin you already earned stays in your account and moves with you.
New navigation
Your holdings now live on your account page. Tap your account to see your full portfolio. Nothing is missing; it’s just organized a little differently.
Support & contact updates
At launch, in-app live chat and self-service contact changes are limited. However, our team is a call away at 1-800-RETIRED. Self-service is coming soon.
Want a non-IRA account?
Non-IRA (Freedom) accounts, in-kind transfers, and crypto lending aren’t created automatically. If you’d like one, just contact our team and we’ll set it up.
Choice login
Where to log in to your Choice account
Until October 1, keep using the Choice app as usual. On and after October 1, your Choice login will work at Retired.com and in the Retired.com app. Same credentials, same account, new home.
Questions
Choice Migration FAQ
What is happening to the Choice app and choiceapp.io?
On October 1, 2026, Choice becomes Retired.com. The Choice app is being replaced by the Retired.com app, and your Choice IRA moves to Retired.com automatically. Your account, holdings, and history come with you.
How do I log in to my Choice account after migration?
After October 1, log in at app.retired.com or in the Retired.com app using your existing Choice login. If you’ve ever logged in to Choice, your password carries over, no reset needed. You’ll be prompted to set up SMS two-factor authentication on your first login.
What happens to my Choice IRA and my crypto?
Your Choice IRA and all of its holdings, including Bitcoin and other crypto, transfer to Retired.com. Your coins carry over with full parity, and your transaction history moves with your account.
Is the new Retired.com fee schedule cheaper than Choice?
Retired.com replaces Choice’s multiple fee schedules with one flat $50/month account fee and 1% per trade, with $0 for deposits, transfers, and rollovers. For many accounts this is lower, and always simpler. Some low-activity accounts may see an increase, we’ll show you your personal before-and-after before your first bill.
Do I need to do anything right now?
No. Keep using the Choice app as usual. Closer to October 1 we’ll send full migration details and any steps to take, such as re-linking your bank and setting up two-factor authentication.
Will I lose any features moving from the Choice app to Retired.com?
You gain far more than you lose, including stocks in your IRA, staking, swaps, bundles, automatic rebalancing, and stop-loss orders are all new. A few items aren’t available at launch: performance charts and cost basis (being imported shortly after migration), recurring orders, and the Blinko rewards program, which is retiring. Any rewards you already earned stay in your account.
Whatever happened to Kingdom Trust?
Kingdom Trust was an independent custodian, regulated by the South Dakota Division of Banking, that specialized in alternative asset custody starting in 2009. In 2017 it became the first custodian to offer bitcoin custody inside retirement accounts, and in 2020 it launched the Choice app. In 2024, Kingdom Trust merged with Digital Trust, a modern custodian, which has served as custodian for Choice, and now Retired.com, accounts ever since.
*Based on assets under custody across all retired.com consumer brands as of 05/18/2026.
