Retired.com Fee Disclosure

Retired.com Fee Disclosure

Updated: August 11, 2026

Note: All fees are paid to and collected by Digital Trust, LLC, the Custodian for your Retired.com accounts. The full Fee Schedule can be located at retired.com/policies/fee-schedule.

1. ACCOUNT ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE

IRA Set up and Deposits: Open your account at no cost; there are no setup fees and no fees on incoming deposits.

Monthly Account Fee: Your account incurs a recurring monthly account fee (the “Monthly Account Fee”). This fee is billed monthly and ensures the continuous management, security, and administration of your account. It covers all custodial services and essential platform services such as platform access for trading, cybersecurity measures to protect your digital assets, and routine account administration tasks, including regulatory compliance and customer support.

2. TRANSACTION FEES

Trading Fees: Each time you buy, sell, or swap assets within your account, a trading fee is applied, with the exception of stock trading. There is no Trading Fee when you buy, sell, or swap stocks or ETFs. The Trading Fee is a percentage of the total transaction amount and is automatically deducted from your account at the time of the transaction. The trading fee covers the costs associated with executing your trades, including the use of the trading platform, and other associated costs to ensure timely and secure processing of your transactions. Trading fees for Crypto Bundles are based on the number of assets in the bundle being bought or sold and will appear as a single transaction fee on your monthly statement.

3. PRECIOUS METALS FEES

You can choose to store your precious metals in a segregated or non-segregated vault. The precious metals storage fee is charged annually and will vary based on the storage method you choose. The annual fee is invoiced monthly. An additional shipping fee may also be charged should you wish to physically move your precious metals. The shipping fee is based on total weight, insurance, destination, and shipping provider. Both the storage fee and shipping fee are determined by the depository.

Segregated Storage: Segregated storage keeps your exact bars and coins in a separate physical space, and you will receive the exact serial numbers and specific coin years you deposited when you sell or withdraw.

Non-Segregated Storage: Non-segregated (commingled) storage pools your metals in a vault that also holds metals for other customers. Non-segregated vaults have sub-accounting in place for each customer to ensure appropriate accounting.

4. PAYMENT OF FEES

Payment Methods: The Monthly Account Fee and precious metals storage fees may be paid using either available cash or assets in your account(s) or a credit card. Trade fees must be paid using available cash in the account(s). If there is insufficient cash in the account to cover these fees, and if applicable, clients may need to contribute to ensure sufficient funds are available.

Payment: Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice and must be made promptly to avoid late fees. If you choose to pay fees using a credit card, please note that declined charges will result in additional fees, and a new payment method must be provided immediately.

Asset Liquidation for Fee Payment: If your account does not have sufficient cash to cover fees owed, Digital Trust may liquidate assets within your account to cover these fees. You will be notified of the liquidation, and any adverse tax consequences arising from the sale of assets are your responsibility. It is advisable to maintain sufficient liquidity in your account to cover all anticipated fees to avoid forced liquidation.

Owed Fees and Collections: Should any fees remain unpaid after the due date, they will be considered owed fees. Digital Trust will issue a Past Due Notice if fees are not paid on time, and a late fee will be assessed. If owed fees continue to be unpaid, the Custodian reserves the right to initiate collection procedures, which may include liquidating sufficient assets within your account to cover the unpaid amounts plus one year’s estimated fees. The Custodian will notify you of any liquidation, and any remaining funds after fees are settled will be credited back to your account. Persistent non-payment may result in account closure, and the distribution of assets may trigger tax liabilities.

Late Payment and Collection Fees: If any fees are not paid by their due date, a late payment fee will be imposed. Additionally, if owed fees remain unpaid after repeated notices, the Custodian reserves the right to initiate collection procedures. This may include liquidating sufficient assets in your account to cover the outstanding amount plus one year’s estimated fees. Should liquidation occur, you will be notified, and any remaining balance after fee settlement will be credited back to your account.

5. CONDITIONAL FEES – FREEDOM ACCOUNTS

Eligibility: A Freedom Account is a non-qualified account offered to customers who also maintain at least one open IRA account with Retired.com. A standard non-qualified account is not eligible for Freedom Account status unless the customer holds, or subsequently opens, a qualifying IRA account with Retired.com.

Conversion to a Freedom Account: If a customer holding a standard non-qualified account subsequently opens an IRA account with Retired.com, the customer may request that their existing standard non-qualified account be converted to a Freedom Account, and the fee treatment described below will apply prospectively from the date of conversion. The assets held in the account are unaffected by this conversion; only the applicable fee treatment changes. Fees paid prior to the conversion of the account are not eligible to be refunded.

Conditional Fee Waiver: While an account maintains Freedom Account status, no Monthly Account Fees will be charged, only Trading Fees and Precious Metals Storage Fees will be charged to the account. This waiver applies only for so long as the customer continues to hold at least one funded IRA account with Retired.com.

Reversion to Standard Fees: If a customer closes all IRA accounts held with Retired.com, any linked Freedom Account will convert to a standard non-qualified account, and the full fee schedule otherwise applicable to standard non-qualified accounts will apply prospectively from the date of conversion. Because Freedom Accounts and standard non-qualified accounts support the same asset classes, no liquidation, in-kind transfer, or forced distribution is required solely as a result of this conversion.

6. ADJUSTMENT TO IRA FEES

Right to Adjust Fees: Both Retired.com and Digital Trust reserve the right to adjust their respective fees. Any changes to fees that may negatively impact you, such as fee increases or the introduction of new fees, will be communicated at least 30 days in advance. Notification will be provided via email or through our website. It is your responsibility to review these adjustments and ensure that your account is adequately funded to cover any new or adjusted fees. Staying informed of these changes is essential to managing your account effectively.

Fee Variations: The accompanying Fee Schedule represents our standard fees for the services described. Certain clients may be subject to different fee arrangements based on factors such as pre-existing contractual relationships, the nature and scope of services provided, account size or type, or the date on which the client relationship was established. Where applicable, such alternative arrangements are set forth in a separate written agreement between the client and Retired.com and will govern in the event of any conflict with this disclosure.

7. FINANCIAL RELATIONSHIPS

Payment Incentives: Retired.com along with its Custodian may enter, at their sole discretion, into agreements with third parties under which certain fees will be paid to them. These payments help us maintain and enhance our services to our clients. Retired.com reserves the right to use the third-party provider of its choice regardless of price.

Referrals: Retired.com may pay referral and/or affiliate fees to third parties for promoting the Retired.com platform. These referral fees are designed to compensate the referring party for introducing clients. The referral fee is typically a percentage of the fees generated from the referred transaction.
